As a mining company whose mission is to achieve sustainable growth and to implement the concept of green mining, the Company pays high attention to preserving the environment in locations surrounding the Company’s operations.

As a manifestation of its commitment to environmental preservation, the Company implemented a number of activities, including the following:

1. Safety talks and induction processes intended to prevent environmental pollution through the provision of information intended to raise the awareness of all employees regarding potentially unsafe situations, potential pollution, the safe use of protective equipment, and so on. Safety talks are conducted every day at each section of both the Company’s subsidiaries and those of its contractors;
2. The regular implementation of safety, health and environmental inspections in both active and inactive working locations. If these inspections uncover dangerous or potentially polluting conditions, activities at the location in question are ceased. Only after all remedial action has been implemented to ensure that conditions are safe is work resumed;
3. The periodic monitoring of water quality at Water Monitoring Points (rivers, settling ponds, etc);
4. The management of hydrocarbon wastes in compliance with government regulations governing the management of dangerous and toxic wastes;
5. The Periodic Implementation of Safety, Health, and Environment audits to improve safety and environmental conditions.
